Cybersecurity Readiness for
Cyber Threats and Defense

The Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes the increasing threat of cyber attacks and their impactful consequences on the nation. In attempt to strengthen their cyber defense, the DoD had adopted a Cyber Strategy, which is divided into three primary missions: (1) Defend DoD networks, systems, and information; (2) Defend the US homeland and US national interests against cyber attacks of significant consequence; (3) Provide cyber support to military operational contingency plans. The goal is to have 133 Cyber Mission Teams by 2018. These teams will require in-depth training that will adapt to changes as cyber threats evolve.
